In anticipation of the drider I made some custom drider items...

A Spider Large Shield and a Spider based rapier "hand protector thingy"

Funny thing is I almost forgot how to do CC for NWN2 it's been a while, Iknow these arent perfect but they were fun to make.

These are made from exsisting NWN2 models and textures so it is a very small hack, it should be on the vault soon.

Some Preview Pics for fun :)

That looks so nifty!! I watched the driders walk around today while Jonny worked on animations. They will be a nice compliment to the creatures :)

Welcome back, MWMDragon! Nice to see you making weapons again, I missed that. :)

Taking a look at the awesome animation video of the drider and imagining your weapons in their hand... can you imagine how formidable an army of them would be?

I shudder to think of facing them in battle.

Nice work on those. I like that opening in the shield, giving it a port for visibility while protecting the body.

Any chance of making a variation of the shield with some spider webbing between the legs?

Also, I was wondering about some brainstorming on drow items that don't have spiders on them. What could they look like to make them distinguishable besides webbing and spiders.

-Maybe a shield with just the legs of a spider radiating from the centre and the tips extending a bit outside the circumfrence?
-A rapier with the shaft made from a spiders leg.
-A shield made out of the carpacase (spider rear end) of one of Johny ree's driders with similar colouration.
-Other underdark body parts.

I'm working on some more Drow / Drider / Underdark item ideas right now. I had to reinstall my PC so I'm just getting my development area all back up and running.

These ideas help me a lot even if I don't make the exact item mentioned ;)

PS. I'm going to wait until I have a pack of Drow items before I release it on the Vault, You will see em all here first, that is if it is ok with Ree.

That looks awesome mwmdragon

I had a thought. Something graceful for dual wield would look sweet too! I was doing some reading for Jonny earlier today and saw some basic drider classes. And dual wielding weapons were one of the chosen. I can see a graceful elegant weapon "but deadly of course" Sleek, and to complicated.

Just my opinion of course. But seemed like a nifty idea. :)

Do you have an idea ? Or did you want me to research an elegantly deadly weapon that was drider-esk but not to flashy.

What base weapon did you have in mind..eg. dagger, kama, short sword?
