BouncyRock Entertainment README FILE: Driders
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
by Jonny Ree Link

Hello everyone.
I know a lot of people have been waiting for this a long time. Even though it
didn't end up as a playable race, atleast you've got a creature with some variations.
Hope everyone enjoys it.

It may have fallen short of the original ambition for this project, however if this is
well enough received and enough people end up using it, I may end up doing an expansion
with more facial variations as well new armor types.

Information on creature
The creature pack comes with two blueprints which are there to demonstrate use.
All parts are tintable to some degree, and should give enough flexibility to greater your own driders.

Female drider comes with:
2xBody (cloth, leather)
1xhead
1xhair
1xSpiderBody

Male drider comes with:
2xBody (nk, cloth(actually leather)
2xHeads (Normal & one battle-worn)
1xhair
1xSpiderBody
1xHelmet

- Jonny

Special thanks to:
- Michele aka liso: for constant support.
- Jclef for all the compliments while creating
- Dirtywick for making the blueprints
- Everyone over at the bouncyrock forums, nwn2cr channel and bioware forum!

-- Permissions -- (copied from ACME, because I like it)
Anyone is allowed to repackage and/or modify the meshes and textures
in this package as long as credit is given for the original source and the
user does not charge money for their derived product.

-----------------
Thank you for using the driders, hope everyone enjoys them.

Whoo Hoo! I know RL can get in the way of projects. However, I have learned over time that failure is only when you give up or quit, not if it takes longer than you planned.

You rock at BouncyRock!

best regards,
dunniteowl

Thanks for this!

I'm actually a little relieved that these are not playable. It will be more of a treat seeing them in dungeons than encounter them mass breading overland in PWs :) . I hate spiders. Did you know that you are never more than 1m away from a spider. Now if they were as big as driders, that may be a problem.

So nice work on the drider. I'm sure module builders will be thrilled especially with the additional variations.

Would love to see some final screen shots posted here if another community member ever finds time to shoot them in game.

So curious, has life slowed down for you at all lately. Will you be trying to revive the monster every 2 weeks personal challenge?

(did someone just groan) ;)

Thanks again for giving this to the community. We should consider ourselves lucky that someone as tallented and artistic as you is creating stuff for D&D.

I imagine if you're in Antartica or on the moon, you'd be more than just a few miles away from the nearest spider.

Wouldn't count on it.

Yes, life is full of exceptions ;) But I don't know many people planning to move to Antarctica or the moon anytime soon. And even in Antarctica, you never know what's below your feet...even in the most inhospitable places. I'll let you look that one up ;)

Anyhow, after seeing Johnny Ree's beholder and his artwork he's posted online, I've found it tweeks the kind of art I'm interested in. Just because I prefer Toulouse Lautrec over Salvador Dali doesn't mean Dali lacked talent.

Although whoever did that purple worm has my appreciation even if it wasn't the exact image I had in my head. I imagine a more Dune like worm but purple for those beasts. But I'm super glad I can fight a purple worm in NWN2 now and that one looks good even if its not my childhood memory.
